North Park Veterinary Group has 3 consulting sites at North Tawton, Okehampton and Hatherleigh. We operate at the North Tawton and Okehampton sites.

We have digital xrays which can be very useful in many circumstances and it is important to get good quality xrays for accurate diagnosis. This is possible with some conscious animals but it is usually safer for our pets and staff to sedate or anaesthese our patients to get good results. Xrays can be very useful in many circumstances and it is important to get good quality xrays for accurate diagnosis. This is possible with some conscious animals but it is usually safer for our pets and staff to sedate or anaesthese our patients to get good results. Xrays are used to diagnose a variety of problems from bone and joint damage to heart disease or foreign bodies in the gut.

Xrays, like photos will show blurring with any movement so we need our patients to stay still for an adequate time.

ECG to check for heart disease, this is done without sedation and is very straight forward to perform. It can diagnose so heart disease but is often used alongside xrays and ultrasound to get the full picture of heart disease.

Blood Pressure Monitor for cats and dogs. High blood pressure can cause many problems from headaches to kidney damage if not treated. We need a quiet area to let them settle and keep the stress levels as low as possible.
